These work fine for most gates 3ft tall or gates 6ft tall Except for juliet balcony railings of the single horizontal variety where the upright bar is 1100mm high. using a double scroll bar to meet the height can make it look slightly stretched, would then advise using a 4 pair scroll pattern, Although a triple would work just as well. Although it is acceptable to keep the scrolls in the middle and have a gap top and bottom.
