Premium railings

Premium wrought iron railings

Our premium range of wrought iron railings stands apart from our economy collection by featuring more open designs and offering greater choice and control over the materials used. While some designs from the economy range are included, the premium range is primarily tailored to be more bespoke and unique.

The majority of our premium or bespoke railings start life as a Horsham style wrought iron railing design, and then develop from there. Using this as a base for the design and building in extra decorative bars as required.

This design approach makes it incredibly easy to adapt and modify the overall look by simply changing various parts of the metal railing. For example, swapping out the original round bar for square ones opens up new possibilities, such as incorporating twists that add intricate detail and enhance the visual appeal.

The twists can follow this design pattern, where every 5th bar is carefully twisted to produce a subtle and elegant effect. This method creates a balanced look that is both visually appealing and refined. Those seeking a richer, more complex appearance, additional twists can be incorporated, resulting in a denser and more intricate pattern that adds more depth to the overall design.

Rings can be used as part of the design, instead of twists or even as well as twists.

Baskets and twists can be combined together as a unique and stylish mix, or you can choose to just the baskets on their own for a simpler, classic look.

C scrolls are another possibility

Or S scrolls.

Then of course you have the option of instead of just a flat frame, you might consider a curved top wrought iron railing.

It is completely impossible to list all the possible designs, they really do number in the thousands

It is also difficult to give a price on the website, with so many different designs, so for now the best thing is perhaps look at the designs page, figure out what you like and email me sizes. I can then mail back a price.

I had been developing a guide on how to effectively design your own railing. While it didn’t progress as far as planned, it still covers essential basics to help you learn and understand the process. You can find it at Ironworks-crawley.uk. Please note that the site is currently undergoing reconstruction, which will temporarily pause any future updates there. However, I believe the existing information is still valuable and helpful.
