The first 42 designs feature 5 upright bars in a gate, each with unique design variations. On a 3ft wide gate, this spacing results in the bars being approximately 120mm apart. Naturally, keeping 5 bars in a wider gate would increase the distance between the upright bars.

Any of these designs could have the top changed so instead of the scrolls it has decorative railing heads
The next set has 7 upright bars this makes the gap between bars on a 3ft wide gate around 90mm appart
